I've always wondered why airlines didn't just raise prices a bit and give people without checked bags a 'fuel saver' discount or something. Same end result, but I bet people would mind less.
The airlines were once (not long ago)going to make me check the pouch I sometimes use to hold my passport (or in this case, my ticket) because I had one carry on and a purse + the pouch! I said, I'd just put it inside my purse. Didn't have to~all I had to do was hand it to my husband! SHEESH!! Southwest doesn't charge!!
