One of the last things I did in the Silicon Valley area before coming back to Honolulu was visit 99 Ranch Market, a supermarket specializing in Chinese imports.We went there after a scrumptuous dinner at Joy Luck Place in Cupertino with my son's parents-in-law, who had come from Toronto to spend a month in San Jose helping out with our mutual new grandson Joey.
What impressed me the most was the seafood case. Outside of Pike Street Market in Seattle, and Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo, I'd never seen one quite like it.
Excellent variety of fresh fish, and they'd clean and process it any way you wanted.
Fish heads, fish heads, eat 'em up, YUM!
