The M Resort in Las Vegas

M is a beautiful new hotel that opened on March 1, 2009, about a 17-minute, nine-mile drive south of the Mandalay Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip.

I finally visited the hotel. I expected to see something pretty nice, and I wasn’t disappointed.

The hotel is gorgeous. The main entrance that takes you past the registration area sets the tone of elegance with its beautiful, high-ceilinged foyer and wall of flowers. The only thing is … the flowers are silk, not real.

When I joined their iMagine Rewards Club, they offered me a $5 credit or tee-shirt. I took the tee-shirt because over the years, I’ve decided that bringing home a tangible anything is preferable to losing more money on the casino floor.

It was too early in the day to dine at one of their better restaurants, so I had a late breakfast at the Red Cup CafĂ©. Not bad. It wasn’t great, but the corned beef hash was not bad. I wrote about that in my restaurant blog.

I’ll return the next time I’m in Las Vegas.
