His Thumbs Rule

I’m about a month and a half late talking about this, but I’ve been on a few trips lately and haven’t really been paying attention to the news.

You gotta admire the guy. Seventeen-year-old high school student Austin Wierschke of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, has the fastest thumbs in America, proving it as he repeated as National Texting Champion in New York.
It was his second consecutive victory in the five-year competition sponsored by LG Mobile.
What did he have to do to claim the title and beat out 10 finalists? Austin had to text a 149-character line from “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.” The message contained capital letters, punctuation and various symbols, and he did it in a mere 39 seconds.
And you thought texting among kids was a waste of time. Hah! Take that! He won $50,000.00!
I kid you not.
