All the state employees who voted for David Ige this past
election and got him elected as our new governor, might be taking a step back
and wondering if they did the right thing. If they are, it’s extremely small-minded
of them.
See, Gov. Ige has decided that state employees shouldn’t
get Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve off, a tradition previous governors have
granted.
Actually, I think it’s good. It costs the government
about $11 million every year when they give the extra holiday days. If the workers want the eves off, they should take vacation days; it should come out of THEIR pockets … not mine (the dutiful
taxpayer).
