Recently,
while watching “Midsomer Murders” on Netflix, one of the older supporting
actresses looked awfully familiar. But for the life of me, I couldn’t think of
her name. So I googled the episode’s cast.

It
was Hayley Mills. Remember her? She starred in “Pollyanna” and “The Parent
Trap.” She’s a little younger than I am, and I had a crush on her in high
school and college.

TV
cinematography can be rather unforgiving at times and if I paused the picture, I’m
sure I could have counted every single wrinkle on her face.
But having said
that, she’s gone from early ‘60s teen-age cutie to mature senior beauty.
God,
I feel old.
